System Manager, AC Skid – BESS (Medium Voltage Containerized Systems)

Responsibilities

Serve as the overall system‑responsible owner for the AC Skid, covering electrical/functional architecture, safety, quality, and lifecycle performance.

Lead supplier selection, qualification, and governance for the mechanical Skid design, ensuring alignment with system requirements, standards, and cost targets.

Own the technical selection and specification of:

  • MV transformer
  • RMU
  • PCS (in house designed converter integration and interfaces

Ensure correct electrical and functional integration of all subsystems:

  • MV transformer – RMU – PCS
  • Grounding/earthing
  • Cooling and auxiliary power
  • Cabling, interlocks, protections, and monitoring

Review and validate supplier designs for the mechanical skid

Ensure compliance with relevant standards:

  • MV equipment (IEC/ANSI)
  • Transformer and switchgear safety
  • Environmental, mechanical, and fire safety

Review supplier documentation, test results, FAT reports, and qualification data.

Drive quality and cost optimization, ensuring a price‑competitive and high‑quality AC Skid product for the BESS platform.

Support customer clarification and quotation phases, ensuring:

  • Technical feasibility
  • Clear interpretation of customer requirements
  • Alignment between project needs and AC Skid capabilities

Collaborate cross‑functionally with electrical, mechanical, controls, product, procurement, and quality teams to ensure seamless AC Skid integration.

Our requirements

Must‑haves:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or similar.

Strong understanding of:

  • MV transformers, RMUs, switchgear, and MV safety
  • Grid‑connected PCS/power converters
  • MV protection, grounding/earthing, and interlocking
  • Cooling and auxiliary systems

Experience working with suppliers on:

  • Detailed mechanical design reviews
  • Documentation review and compliance checks
  • Quality and cost evaluations

Ability to support technical clarifications during pre‑sales and quotation phases.

 

Nice‑to‑haves:

Experience with AC Skids, E‑houses, containerized MV designs, or BESS systems.

Knowledge of grid code requirements for MV‑connected BESS or hybrid power plants.

Familiarity with DFMEA, FAT processes, and utility compliance documentation.

Background in system engineering or product ownership roles.

 

 

Location

This role can be based in our offices in Ikast or Hammel, with flexibility for hybrid work.
