The Senior Lead Engineer – Concept Development is responsible for independently leading the development of strategic manufacturing concepts, production solutions, and future factory initiatives. The role combines advanced technical expertise, project leadership, feasibility assessment, risk evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative, scalable, and business-aligned manufacturing solutions.

As a senior member of the Concept Development team, this position acts as a technical leader and subject matter expert, driving manufacturing innovation, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, shaping future production concepts, and influencing global manufacturing standards and methodologies. The role requires a high degree of ownership, decision-making capability, and the ability to lead complex projects from concept generation through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex Concept Development projects and strategic manufacturing initiatives, including business case preparation and presentations (Business Case Presentations).
  • Develop future manufacturing concepts, production systems, and factory solutions (Mixed Model & Multi Product Line Balancing / Analytical Methods).
  • Design and optimize production layouts, material flows, and routings (MOST Analysis).
  • Lead feasibility studies for new products, technologies, equipment, and production concepts (Value Stream Mapping / Lean Principles).
  • Define manufacturing strategies supporting NPI programs and long-term business objectives (Roadmap Creation).
    Perform risk assessments, investment analyses, and technical evaluations.
  • Develop innovative production concepts focused on efficiency, automation, scalability, and sustainability (Efficiency / Productivity / OEE).
    Drive process and routing optimization (Spaghetti Analysis / VA & NVA Analysis).
  • Facilitate workshops on concept development, feasibility studies, risk assessment, and process design (3D Process Simulation).
  • Establish and govern global standards, methodologies, and documentation for manufacturing concepts (Community Governance – Layouts / Tooling / Routing).
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders across functions (Multi-Cultural Experience – Asia & EU).
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify innovation opportunities.
  • Mentor and coach engineers (Training Skills).
  • Act as technical lead for strategic
