Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As our Lead - Mechanical Engineer, you will:

  • Evaluate and validate new busbar concepts using electromagnetic simulations, mechanical modelling, and targeted testing.
  • Quantify trade-offs across electrical performance, thermal behavior, mechanical robustness and manufacturability.
  • Drive mechanical excellence by contributing to robust design solutions and coordinating design activities.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams, offering mechanical insights that help shape project outcomes.
  • Develop and improve design processes and tools, helping establish best practices within Energy Storage Systems & Bionic Solutions.
  • Support and uplift colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing to a learning-oriented team culture.

Our requirements

Your Strengths & Experience

We welcome applicants with a variety of backgrounds and career journeys. You’ll succeed in this role if you bring:

  • Proficiency in 3D design and visualisation tools such as SolidWorks.
  • A strong understanding of materials, mechanical production processes, and practical design considerations.
  • Experience with design verification and simulation (CFD, electromagnetic simulations, etc.).
  • A good grasp of thermodynamics and how it affects system performance.
  • A B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Location

This role is based in our office in Ikast with flexibility for hybrid work, either from Home or from our offices in Kolding or Hammel.
