Lead - Core Engineering M/F

The lead position in this department is responsible for driving the implementation and optimization of PLM systems, establishing and maintaining standards, and fostering innovation and process improvement within Core Engineering team within the world wide KK Global Engineering organization called Product & Engineering Solutions (P&ES).

A key focus of the role is developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to equip GE engineers with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in PLM, standards, and internal processes. By prioritizing training and team development, the role ensures continuous growth and operational excellence across the department.

Support Core Engineering strategy development across all Global Engineering teams and strategy implementation within Global Engineering and KK. The employee will cooperate with the Global Engineering teams, Business Units and Operation management team towards breaking boundaries to exceed expectations on our solutions and deliverables.Act as engineering interface within P&ES, towards customers & Business Units.Focusing on safe designs and high quality in all processes, specifications and standards.Ensure a Cross-Functional department mindset within all areas of KK

Responsibilities

Main Tasks:

  • Conduct training sessions to ensure all teams are proficient in applying standards consistently and current GE processes.
  • Provide specialized training on engineering change management, PLM, standards, procedures, and internal processes to ensure team adaptability
  • Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for innovation.
  • Develop tailored on-boarding and training programs for GE end acquired companies.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication of changes and updates to processes or standards.
  • Collect feedback and adjust training programs and processes to address gaps or challenges.
  • Support creation of the training programs focused on PLM.

Other Roles & Responsibilities:

As Core Engineering:

  • Experience with PLM Tools and Methodology.
    Familiarity with Engineering Change Management Process.
  • Provide targeted training on engineering change management, PLM processes, standards and GE internal processes to guide the team in adapting requirements and knowledge.
  • Lead training programs to equip the team with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in PLM.
  • Lead foundation training of new starters into Global Engineering and P&ES.

As Global Engineering:

  • Support the team in relation to smooth execution of all tasks in accordance with the technical and quality requirements.
  • Create an energetic and positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as IT, quality assurance, and GMT to align goals and have strategies.

Our requirements

Competence & Personality Profile: 

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, Engineering in (Mechanical, Electrical)
  • Business Administration with a strong focus on process management
  • Information Systems or a similar technical discipline.

Professional & Managerial Competency:

  • Proficient in managing and implementing engineering change processes to ensure seamless product updates and transitions.
  • Expertise in designing and delivering effective training programs for diverse teams, with a focus on technical and operational up skilling.
  • Effective at mentoring and empowering team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Adept at working with various departments, ensuring alignment of PLM, standards, and processes.
  • Securing strong "Green Power Wizard" identity that stands on our values of responsibility, integrity and agility.
  • Secure a strong value set in the organization and a one company culture with an excellent innovative, digital and customer mindset.
