Engineer - Documentation and Validation Engineer, MECM

Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and maintain Process Work Instructions (PWI) for project and pre-series products.
  • Develop and document Sequence of Events (SoE), process flow charts, and sub-production documentation for manufacturing and assembly activities.
  • Perform MOST analysis, time studies, and support takt time and capacity calculations for project products.
  • Apply PFMEA, Control Plans, CTQ / CTP identification, and process flow concepts during documentation creation.
  • Validate manufacturing feasibility, assembly flow, and work content in collaboration with Process Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
  • Support prototype, pre-series, and ramp-up phases by ensuring documentation readiness and correctness.
  • Align process documentation with design maturity, BOM structures, routings, and quality requirements.
  • Support design-to-manufacturing handover and ensure documentation completeness before transition to mass production / ECM.
  • Support internal non-NPI projects (automation initiatives, system integrations, internal manufacturing improvements) through documentation and validation activities.
  • Participate in project reviews, technical discussions, gate meetings, and readiness assessments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation standards, templates, and industrial best practices.

Our requirements

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly methods.
  • Experience in creating Process Work Instructions, Sequence of Events, process flow charts, and sub-production documentation.
  • Working knowledge of MOST methodology, time studies, and takt time calculation.
  • Understanding of PFMEA, Control Plans, CTQ / CTP identification, and manufacturing quality concepts.
  • Ability to interpret BOM structures, routings, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with CAD / visualization tools such as SolidWorks Composer (or equivalent) for operator-friendly documentation.
  • Familiarity with PLM / document management systems (e.g., Windchill, ePM, SharePoint or similar).
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems related to manufacturing is preferred.
  • Years of experience : 2 to 3 Years.
  • Education: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing etc.
