KK Wind Solutions is the industry’s leading supplier of electromechanical systems for the biggest wind turbine manufacturers in the world – paving the way for a sustainable future. At our office in Ikast, Denmark, you will join our System Management team along with 3 other senior specialists.

The team works as go-to expert team, guiding the project teams who develop our state-of-the-art systems and supporting one of our global key customers. You will enjoy versatile tasks and explorative approaches to ensure the best possible system design across quality, standards, costs and much more. In addition, you will also ensure that product requirement always are up-to-date and verified accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and that KK is perceived as a professional partner with high knowledge level regarding high power wind turbine electrical systems
  • Development and sourcing of technology, keeping contact with key suppliers and partners
  • Develop system designs which comply with customer requirements and standards, best practice and technology road maps.
  • Ensure a continuous high system design quality by driving extensive focus on test and verification.
  • Ensure modularization and clever design reuse in the product portfolio, increasing the product quality and optimizing R&D effort.
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders on developing and maintaining technology road maps, securing right technology in the right time.
  • Support Sales with technical expertise
  • Follow the development in relevant standards and industry practices in order to be able to influence and predict future product requirements.
  • Analyze reliability data from products in the field and give advice regarding improvements/preventive actions
  • Develop and support the IPR generation in the department

You can expect up to 20 travel days a year including visits to other KKWS sites, suppliers, customers and attending conferences.
 

Our requirements

Experienced electrical engineer with a passion for systems

  • You have minimum a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • You come from an industry where you work with battery systems and/or electric converters or the like.
  • You have minimum 5 years of experience as Specialist or System Engineer and you are likely also to have an INCOSE certificate.
  • You have experience with requirements handling and requirements verification (V-Model) 
  • You have an innovative approach and are excellent at attaining new knowledge and identifying opportunities whatever the obstacle
  • You are good at building relationships and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
  • You may have experience with system design for the offshore environment, cooling systems, lightning protection and safety regulations.
  • You have a positive mindset and a can-do attitude
  • You thrive in a busy environment as well as working with multiple assignments.
