Senior Manager - Financial Accounting & Controlling

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager - Financial Accounting and Controlling to join our Finance Shared Service and support the company on an extensive growth journey.

As the Senior Manager for FA&C, you will be a pivotal leader within our Finance Shared Services department. You will oversee a global team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and timely financial accounting services. Your role will involve transitioning new processes into the department, enhancing process efficiencies, and contributing to strategic initiatives. Additionally, your expertise in audit processes will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the FA&C Team, providing substantive support in GL activities (Fixed Assets, Accruals, Journals, MEC and YEC activities, accounts reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation for the Group, reports, internal and external audits). 
  • Support team members through assessment, coaching, and training, fostering a high-performance, service-oriented culture. 
    Lead the transition of new processes into FSS, including M&A and new entities integration. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and procedures, local GAAPs, and Group GAAP, while developing and maintaining robust systems, procedures, and policies. 
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with stakeholders, identifying areas for service improvement. 
  • Continuously strive to optimize processes and work procedures across functional areas.
  • Oversee the execution of internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards. 

Our requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience within financial accounting, with a profound understanding of GL processes. At least 5 years in a leadership role within a similar environment. 
  • Strong cultural understanding and experience working in a global setting, promoting a collaborative and coherent end-to-end perspective. 
  • Proficiency in various operating systems and processes, with a focus on Continuous Improvement/Lean/Sigma methodologies. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex financial data. 
  • Robust, resilient, and capable of embracing change with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with key stakeholders. 
  • Ability to communicate medium/long-term priorities and solutions effectively to the team.
