About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director – Operational Quality to lead and manage quality activities across our global manufacturing sites. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that our products and processes consistently meet or exceed customer quality standards. You will oversee all quality assurance and quality control operations, leading dedicated quality managers and teams to drive excellence. As a strategic leader, you will work cross-functionally with other departments to develop, implement, and sustain industry-leading quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes across all production sites.
  • Ensure compliance with international quality standards and regulations (ISO 9001, APQP4Wind, TS 16949).
  • Lead and develop local Quality departments and mentor quality teams.
  • Analyze quality-related data from customers and organizational interfaces; facilitate implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Guide and support employees across the organization on quality-related topics, ensuring best practices are shared and applied.
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments; identify and report weak points, initiate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive and facilitate strategy discussions, definition, and deployment for Operational Quality.
  • Prepare monthly reports on overall quality performance, including objectives, activities, and issues.
  • Educate employees in all relevant competences regarding quality.
  • Ensure effective NCR (Non-Conformance Report) case handling according to the 8D method.
  • Collaborate with the global QHSE team to develop and implement quality management strategies.
  • Participate in global quality audits and assessments.
  • Implement operational excellence initiatives.

Our requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering degree, preferably with experience or knowledge of the wind energy industry (APQP4Wind) or automotive (TS 16949).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within an international, production-focused company.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes and standards.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification; knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Experience conducting quality audits and inspections.
  • Detailed understanding of APQP, PPAP, DMICA, 8D, Change Management, and Risk Management tools.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Travel: Up to 50 days per year (approx. 20%)
