Senior Category Manager, Indirect Sourcing

You will develop long-term global sourcing strategies aligned with market insights, partner requirements and value potential for KKWS. Moreover you will:

• Apply your expertise in contract management and tendering processes
• Work closely with stakeholders to co-develop category plans and strategy
• Build and maintain global supplier base - incl. contracting, negotiations, relationship building, risk management and supplier performance
• Tap into supplier expertise for innovation and efficiency improvements and develop deep executive relationships
• Manage supply-base risk
• Influence and manage positive relationships with key partners
• Help drive KKWS’s sustainability ambition through strong influencing and partnering across global supply base
• Achieve and monitor global performance metrics
• Ensure flawless execution of sourcing events globally

Key Tasks:

• Support development of cross functional global category management teams
• Drive strong category performance
  Execute global category management processes
• Develop and implement strong category strategies
• Ensure selection of appropriate “preferred suppliers” and suppliers to the Approved Vendor List
• Ensure successful supplier implementation
• Drive supplier management and performance
• Develop supplier relations
• Ensure global contract coverage with selected suppliers
• Maintain a risk minimized supplier base
• Develop and implement cost structure analysis and total cost reductions
• Support supplier assessments and approvals

• Bachelor or Master university degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience within procurement and category management in a global manufacturing company
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• A proven ability to successfully lead cross- functional global teams and strategic initiatives
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving ability in a dynamic work environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
• Strong facilitation skills to communicate and collaborate within the procurement organization and business stakeholders/suppliers
• Knowledge of the sourcing process and tools
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Experience with D365 or other similar ERP systems
• Willing to travel 20-40 days globally per year
