Responsibilities

Building and development of the logistics department:

  • Develop and oversee department strategy for supply chain optimization, ensuring efficient, timely delivery.
  • Implement tools, standards, and procedures to enhance logistics operations.
  • Collaborate on system implementations supporting logistics.
  • Plan and implement new logistics solutions, including MCOs, purchase planning, and material procurement with the Management Team

Operational Activities:

  • Supervise compliance with H&S, fire protection, and work standards.
  • Collaborate with departments to assess logistics needs and coordinate logistics units.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and supervise secure transport for deliveries.
  • Oversee internal material/product transport and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor logistics indicators, manage stock levels, and organize deliveries.
  • Report to agreed standards, ensure budget compliance, and drive cost reductions.

Improvement of logistics processes in cooperation with the Quality and Continuous Improvement Department:

  • Introduction of modern methods of production/logistics management (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, etc.),
  • Creation and introduction of a vision of constant improvement in the whole subordinate area of operation, promoting the idea of lean material flow/manufacturing.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and organize the logistics team, ensuring an efficient and tidy workplace.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet organizational needs and set team performance.

 

   

 

Our requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Logistics or Management.
  • 5 years of working as a manger in a logistics department in a manufacturing company.
  • Strong expertise in logistics and material management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems.
  • Fluent in English.
