Team Lead - Banking M/F

Are you ready to lead people, safeguard financial flows and make a real impact in a global finance organisation? As Team Lead – Banking, based in our Szczecin city centre office, you will be responsible for the accurate, timely and compliant execution of banking operations while actively supporting finance transformation and automation initiatives.

You will lead a dedicated Banking team within Global Shared Services, combining a people‑focused leadership style with strong operational ownership and close collaboration with Treasury, Finance and business stakeholders across the organisation.

In this role, you will combine hands‑on operational leadership with strategic contribution. You will ensure high‑quality banking operations aligned with KPIs, internal controls and compliance standards, while fostering a strong control mindset and culture of ownership. At the same time, you will play an active role in finance transformation initiatives, helping shape future‑ready banking processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and inspire the team

  • Lead and develop the Banking team through clear task allocation, performance management and feedback.
  • Set expectations and KPIs, support onboarding and individual development.
  • Promote engagement, accountability and risk awareness.

 

Own operational excellence

  • Oversee daily banking operations, including payments, statements and cash accounts.
  • Ensure timely, accurate execution in line with approvals, calendars and controls.
  • Act as the first escalation point and support period-end activities.

 

Drive quality & stakeholder collaboration

  • Partner with Treasury, Finance, Tax and business stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve risks, issues and control gaps.
  • Support internal and external audits.

 

Shape the future through projects & transformation

  • Contribute to banking projects, ERP implementations and integrations.
  • Support automation, standardisation, migrations and UAT.
  • Act as a Banking subject matter expert.

 

Champion continuous improvement

  • Drive process optimisation, automation and risk reduction.
  • Maintain up-to-date procedures and work instructions.

Our requirements

  • Financial, accounting or business‑related education.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Banking Operations, Accounts Payable, Treasury Operations or a similar finance function (SSC/GBS experience preferred).
  • 1–2 years of experience in a leadership or senior specialist role is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of payment processes, bank reconciliations, internal controls and segregation of duties.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, bank integrations or legal entity migrations.
  • Confidence working with KPIs, SLAs and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills and high risk awareness.
  • Structured, detail‑oriented and control‑focused approach.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a deadline‑driven, project‑oriented environment.
  • Team‑oriented leader with a coaching and development mindset.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
