As a Sourcing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, developing, and managing suppliers to execute our regional activities while aligning with global sourcing strategies. Leveraging your technical insight and analytical skills, you will ensure optimal sourcing decisions across electromechanical components and contribute directly to the performance of our supply chain.

Role Overview
As a Sourcing Engineer, you bridge technical understanding with commercial sourcing execution. You will analyze component specifications, identify suitable suppliers, optimize total cost structures, and support the seamless execution of sourcing strategies across the US region. Your work will help secure the right quality, capacity, and cost levels for critical components, ensuring a resilient and competitive supply base.

Responsibilities

Technical Sourcing & Component Analysis

  • Identify electromechanical items and assess whether they fall within KK’s sourcing scope
  • Evaluate technical features (value, volume, consumption, MOQ, etc.) to guide supplier selection and optimization discussions
  • Identify original or alternative suppliers for assigned components and categories

Supplier Identification & Development

  • Source, evaluate, and qualify new local suppliers in US region, ensuring alignment with global category strategies
  • Support supplier assessment, approval, and onboarding processes
  • Help maintain a risk-minimized and compliant supplier base, including preferred suppliers and approved vendor lists

Sourcing Execution & Category Support

  • Execute regional sourcing activities in coordination with global category managers
  • Contribute to regional contract negotiations and cost reduction initiatives
  • Assist in securing multiple sourcing options on critical components and adequate supplier capacity where applicable
  • Ensure successful regional implementation of global and regional suppliers

Operational & Data Support

  • Provide technical and sourcing support on component quality, delivery, and ordering issues
  • Interface with inventory and data management systems, ensuring accurate ERP data (costs, MOQs, status codes, etc.)

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross functional teams including engineering, sales, operations, and product development
  • Ensure sourcing activities are aligned

Our Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Proven track record in a multinational companies and/or in Procurement function, sourcing in the US market
  • Technical understanding/ background with commercial sourcing experience is advantageous
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data‑driven decision making
  • Experience working with ERP or data management Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented, and collaborative approach
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

 

This is a remote position. To support effective collaboration across the team, we are considering candidates located in time zones within two hours of Central Time.
