Software Engineer - SCADA Systems M/F

At KK Group, you will play an important role in enabling reliable and secure operation of our digital and automation solutions within the renewable energy industry. As Automation Engineer – SCADA Systems, you will contribute to the development, configuration, and integration of SCADA platforms that support wind energy installations across global customer projects.

You will work at the intersection of automation, industrial networking, and IT/OT integration, helping to ensure that our systems are robust, secure, and ready for deployment. Working closely with colleagues across Engineering, Digital Systems, and Project Execution, you will support the delivery of high-quality SCADA solutions that connect industrial control systems with modern IT infrastructure.

Purpose of Role

Responsibilities

  • Install and deploy SCADA software packages on industrial PCs, servers, and designated hardware platforms
  • Configure system parameters, communication protocols, network settings, and security configurations
  • Ensure stable and secure connectivity between customer networks, KK-managed environments, and industrial control systems
  • Support system integration activities across SCADA, automation, and IT infrastructure environments
  • Manage access to repositories, engineering workstations, and administration tools required for pre-configuration and deployment activities
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and system readiness checks according to company standards
  • Support the development of customer-facing documentation related to SCADA and automation systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, project stakeholders, and global colleagues to ensure successful project delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within automation, networking, and cybersecurity practices

Our requirements

  • Relevant educational background within Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, IT, Software Development, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience working with SCADA systems, industrial automation environments, or industrial networking technologies
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols and network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware and/or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with network technologies and hardware from vendors such as Cisco and HPE is considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles for industrial environments, including standards such as IEC62443, is an advantage
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical disciplines
  • Structured and detail-oriented approach to documentation and system configuration
  • Ability to maintain overview and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken

 

Nice to have

 

  • Experience from the wind energy, renewable energy, or industrial automation sector
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar networking qualifications
  • Experience working with IT/OT integration projects
  • Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
  • Exposure to global engineering organizations and international project environments
