Vacancy description

Senior Specialist, Bionic Solutions M/F

Do you want to work with technical solutions where multiple disciplines meet – and where the right decisions early in the process make all the difference?

We are looking for a Senior Specialist to join our Bionic Solutions team. You will play a key role in maturing new technical concepts, helping assess solutions across mechanics, electrical aspects and materials. Your role is to create clarity around opportunities and risks, ask the right questions, and help translate complex technical challenges into clear direction. You will work closely with colleagues across engineering and help ensure a strong technical foundation for the solutions we develop.

Highlights of the offer

  • Job offer expiration: 10/06/2026
  • Type of work: Hybrid
  • Role: Individual Contributor / Specialist
  • Location: Europe, Denmark, Hammel

Responsibilities

  • Assess and challenge technical concepts with an understanding of how multiple disciplines interact (e.g. mechanical, electrical, materials)
  • Help define design boundaries, key assumptions and risks early in the development process
  • Assist in defining and shaping the technical roadmap, clarifying near‑term priorities while guiding longer‑term development directions
  • Set direction for analysis and simulation work (e.g. CFD or EMAG), including what to investigate and why
  • Review and qualify results from analyses and tests performed by internal or external partners
  • Translate technical insights into clear recommendations and decision support
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across system, mechanical, electrical and manufacturing disciplines
  • Engage with suppliers and partners to evaluate solutions, quality and scalability
  • Contribute to developing methods, shared understanding and best practices within the team

This role suits someone who enjoys thinking in systems, structuring complex problems, and helping others make strong technical decisions.

Our requirements

We are open to different technical backgrounds – what matters most is your approach and way of working.

You will typically have:

  • A technical background in mechanical, electrical engineering, physics or a related field
  • Experience with complex products or systems where multiple disciplines interact
  • A solid understanding of how materials, thermal effects, electrical behaviour and mechanics influence each other
  • Experience with or insight into simulation work (e.g. CFD or EMAG) – not necessarily as a specialist, but with an understanding of assumptions and limitations
  • The ability to work with open-ended problems and help structure them
  • Confidence in your technical judgement and ability to provide recommendations in cross-functional settings
  • A pragmatic mindset, balancing innovation, quality and risk

You do not need to be a specialist in everything or run all tools yourself. Curiosity, sound judgement and the ability to connect disciplines are just as important.
