Senior Engineer - Operational Engineering M/F

The purpose of this position is to ensure effective end-to-end management of Engineering Change Requests within the MECM process.

The role oversees intake, prioritization, coordination, and execution of changes while balancing technical requirements with business needs. It ensures transparency, timely communication, and alignment across engineering, production, and other stakeholders.

The position drives process excellence, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and enables efficient decision-making through structured governance, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-review and validate new change requests; assign them to the responsible area.
  • Plan and manage timelines, priorities, and resources together with MECM areas and requesters, balancing technical and business needs.
  • Maintain clear stakeholder communication to ensure transparency and alignment across engineering and other involved functions.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional meetings to monitor progress, identify dependencies, resolve roadblocks, and align decisions across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with the ECM process, technical standards, and SLAs; proactively identify risks, escalate issues, and drive continuous improvements in tools and workflows.
  • Promote process, data, and stakeholder excellence through lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track budgets and deliver KPI/statistical reports
  • Provide technical and product support across MECM activities and int./ext. workshops
