Senior Accountant - General Ledger (R2R)

As a Senior Accountant in the R2R team, you will be responsible for: 

• Performing month-end and year-end closing activities 
• Preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals and reclassifications 
• Supporting general ledger accounting and reconciliations 
• Supporting intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities 
• Handling accounting activities related to Fixed Assets and IFRS 16 
• Ensuring the accuracy, completeness and quality of financial data 
• Investigating accounting discrepancies and taking ownership of their resolution 
• Supporting internal and external audit requests and providing required documentation 
• Ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures and financial controls 
• Cooperating closely with Finance teams and business stakeholders across the organisation 
• Identifying opportunities to standardise, simplify and automate R2R processes 
• Supporting accounting projects, process transitions and continuous improvement initiatives 

What we are looking for 

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field 
• Solid professional experience in accounting, preferably within Record-to-Report / General Ledger 
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and month-end closing processes 
• English at professional level 
• Ability to work independently, prioritise activities and take ownership of assigned areas  
• Proactive attitude and willingness to challenge and improve existing processes
